Emotions and Flowers

Emotions!

Emotions are like flowers,
They vary in degrees.
They cause lots of feelings,
That flow inside me.

Some flowers are prickly,
They give quite a sting.
There are many emotions,
That offer the same thing.

Flowers bloom so beautiful,
Staring at the sun.
Emotions cause awe in us,
This can be fun.

Flowers close up at night,
Hide from us you see.
Some emotions are similar,
Stored within you and me.

Some flowers have thorns,
These hurt those who hold them near.
Emotions like anger,
Can cause pain and much more fear.

Your mind is a garden,
Full of wonderful things.
So nourish all the beauties,
That are stored within.

You possess the gift,
To keep the flowers alive.
You control emotions,
Decide which should thrive.
