Adversity

Adversity
If I had not faced adversity,
I'd wonder where'd I'd be.
The sorrow and the sadness
It helped to define me .

The troubles I have faced,
I bury deep inside.
Frozen parts of history,
I will not let thrive.

In the moments of sorrow,
When it all seems so much.
I now feel strong enough,
To reach out for a touch.
The worries that consume me,
They all melt away.
Because my friends and family,
Are there each and everyday.
I choose to spread hope,
Messages to warm the heart.
I will not let the pain in,
I'll drive it into the dark.

So if your feeling lonely,
Struck down by what you see.
Know you are not alone,
It is hard for you and me.

So spread your kindness,
Let it push through the night.
It cannot keep holding you,
If you stand and fight.

Still I wonder,
Where would I be.
If I had not suffered,
Faced such adversity.
Then it comes in my head,
The truth behind the door.
I wouldn't know that person,
Lost again once more.
I am my past and present,
The future is yet to come.
But I face the world,
As the man I have become.

All I need is family, friends and the courage to stand tall some people just need reminding they are not alone, even though they feel it.

History

History
We live in a world of wonder,
A world of smiles and tears.
This world we all developed,
Over many thousands of years.

The mistakes and the successes,
Must be remembered at this time.
To eradicate our history,
Would be such a terrible crime.
Instead lets all share stories,
Of the world we wish to see.
One where every person,
Has equal opportunity.
We share our lovely planet,
Yet we do not live here alone.
Nature has a place here,
This world is also their home.
So the world I seek to see,
Is one where we are kind.
We learn from what has happened,
Leave the old world behind.

My ideal statue you see,
Is where adults hand children a key.
For a world  saved for them,
Fully bathed in equality.
One that basks in beauty,
Of the future we want to find.
Where the saviour of the Earth,
Is the fallen humankind.

Tree of human Kindness

Tree of human kindness!
Walk through a park,
Lay down your kindness stone,
Create a place of kindness,
Where only love shall roam.
Find a tree of inspiration,
Find a tree of hope.
Leave a message for a stranger,
Telling them they can cope.
Have message board of laughter,
Or a garden made of dreams.
Where all inequality,
Dissipates from the scene.
Instead of creating problems,
let the solution start.
Make the act of kindness,
In a world so torn apart.
When I see people,
I picture a growing tree.
Its roots start all tangled,
but grow as one you see.
In unity it flourishes,
While accepting diversity.
We grow into such a sight'
The most colourful tree.
