Random acts of kindness!
I was walking down the street today,
When I saw a lady drop her purse.
As I went to pick it up,
A boy beat me and got it first.
He looked at it then at me,
His eye had no doubt,
He run to her to return it,
Cheers of thanks did ring out.
A mother at the shop,
Was struggling with her trolly.
When she went to get her bag,
Instead she found a brolly.
Her son had taken it out at home,
He confessed to his mum.
She began to cry,
At the silly thing he’d done.
That’s when a complete stranger,
Standing in the queue,
Asked if he could help her,
She Said a massive, ‘Thank you!’
A neighbor down the road,
Had fallen over a fence.
She was a bit embarrassed,
She was ready for defence.
‘I fell over mine this morning,’
I said on my approach,
Humiliation she did not receive,
Her smile he had awoke.
She lifted herself up
The smile on her lips.
The pair departed company
Like two passing ships.
At the shop a small lass,
Looked up at the rack.
At what she really needed,
To keep her health on track.
I swooped down the isle,
Antibac within my hand,
I reached up and grabbed it,
On the floor I left to stand.
A random act of kindness,
Shows very deep inside,
How when we work together,
We build those community ties.
We build on the support,
We build a land that care.
We find the good in us,
Make an act if you dare.
